Alex stumbled into the bookstore when she first arrived in Memphis, and she felt at home, with circumstances she ended up staying with the owner and living a life she didn’t think possible. Everyday a hot biker would come in for a coffee and stay a while then leave, and she started looking forward to seeing him. The only thing that helped Shadow with the pain from his past was going to the bookstore and seeing the beautiful owner. Seeing Alex again, Shadow can’t help the feeling he gets to protect her and see her again. When Shadow lets Alex know he’s broken, she lets him know he’s not and they can’t fight the pull between them anymore. As much as Shadow feels the pain less when he is with Alex, she feels that something was missing in her life, Shadow made her feel whole again, but she knew it wouldn’t last, he didn’t know her past and that her father was an infamous drug dealer in California. Shadow knows Alex is running from something, but what happens when what she’s running for comes looking for her and straight to the Satan’s Fury, will they both continue to see the light or return to the darkness and shadows.
