Another good instalment in the Lex story with Lex developing her understanding of her powers as a boundary witch. There are the usual problems between the vampires, the witches, and the werewolves and there are a few conundrums and puzzles that Lex has to work out fast before the body count gets too high.

The writing is good as Melissa F Olson's work usually is and the story is fast moving.

We haven't had a Lex story in a while and I'd forgotten some of her backstory so I would have liked a reminder of the story so far. And does the cover image remind anyone else of Alison Scagliotti? I don't love the cover - it doesn't seem as good as some of the others - but the resemblance intrigues me.

All in all, a good story but read the others in this series and in the Scarlett series before this one. It's not a standalone.

Recommended.
