There is an incredible blending of light and dark in this journey. Alexander King has seen and experienced so much darkness by the age of 19 then he sees the brightest light ever, Sara Jane. From the opening pages, S.L. Scott pulls you into this tragically beautiful romance. Sara Jane and Alexander light each other up and while their romance and relationship grows, Alexander keeps lots of secrets. Sara Jane has always known there is darkness in his world but she sees the true Alexander, the man inside that carries light and love. As Alexander digs deeper to uncover truths that he needs about his mother’s death, Sara Jane gets pulled in and he can no longer shield her from the darkness within his family. I was surprised more than once along this crazy ride but I couldn’t put it down. The story unfolds in a fabulous way being told in the present with perfectly blended memories from both characters as to how their relationship built and grew to get us today. Of course, there is a crazy cliff hanger at the end that has me on pins and needles, I really am not sure where this story will take us next but I’m loving every suspense-filled, sexy moment. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
