This was an incredible book. Very good world building and great depth of characters, barring the horrible Fallon Bane and Marcus Vogal. Cannot wait to see where the next book takes us. Oh and finally I loved the realistic approach to matters of racism, homophobia and religious zealotry, happy to see it wasn't sugar coated or treated as a simplistic issue where people are easily converted from their thinking without the necessary internal struggles. Also good to see it wasn't a quick fix with many of the main characters reaching some enlightenment and then having setbacks which saw them questioning their new found acceptance.
