I discovered The Husband's Secret on an airport best seller list and LOVED it. What Alice Forgot and Big Little Lies quickly followed and I had a new favourite author. Truly Madly Guilty was a little disappointing but still worth reading and now Nine Perfect Strangers has left me dissatisfied again. This story starts very well and of course takes a few unexpected twists but ... in the end it was just a bit too silly. I was expecting so much more. I was invested in several of the characters and there were some good story lines but - what happened? It felt like the author had run out of time? Or ideas? Or something?? I doubt I'll be preordering the next book. I really don't want to be disappointed again so I will more likely wait to see whether it's another masterpiece I really want to own or just another book that can wait for the library.
