Nioh 2 is meh at best ( IMO ). I recommend before you buy Nioh 2, to get an anger management counselor, and have them on standby, because you going to need it. You going to die a lot in this game, and a lot of those deaths will come by as some of the cheapest in gaming history lol. It's highly recommended to learn how to manage your ki pulse, a lot of deaths going to come by because of you running out of ki and your character being staggered for an easy enemy blow. For the regular enemies, you'll be doing a lot of waiting and baiting, and that gets old. This game will punish you for being aggressive, and also there's no reward for being aggressive. Blocking is basically a waste of time, due to depending on the attack two blocks will deplete your ki and you'll get staggered.

Boss fights: Nioh 2 list of bosses and Boss design is really good, but sadly the actual fight feels like a chore. Boss fights are similar to fighting your regular enemy, just wait and bait. The bosses are easy to figure out, but being brought to the dark realm will make the fight harder. Boss fights will also be a battle of attrition. You do little damage, but a nice 3 piece combo from the boss will send you back to your shrine. I recommend saving your Yokai shifts for when the boss HP is really low.

Nioh 2 does have a few good things going for it. Character customization is one of the best in the industry. Visiting the Blacksmith and upgrading your gear is really cool. It's pretty sweet when you can ' refashioned ' your gear. I thought the story was good, and the cut scenes, and there's a bit of humor during the scenes.

I finally finished Nioh 2 ( solo ). Normally I like to play NG+ but not this lol. I'd rate this at a 7/10
