Product description

Product Description

During Facebook's early days, membership was limited to students, so a new Facebooker's initial impressions of social networking would have included discussions of keggers and panty raids. But after opening up to the general public in late 2006, the site finally began to reach critical mass. These days, most folks can easily reconnect with old friends, former colleagues and onetime classmates. The artificial barriers between celebrities and normal people are often lowered too, thanks to Facebook's granular privacy controls. In Alan C. Baird's latest book, "facebookworm: dispatches from a social networking junkie," he distills the essence of an egalitarian world currently evolving in cyberspace, using techniques ranging from wry humor to flash verité. 1.0 out of 5 stars This is the print edition of that annoying cousin who shares *everything* their favorite author/musician/film writer/etc 14 September 2015
By Gregory C. Allen - Published on Amazon.com
This is the biggest piece of dreck I've had the misfortune to read in years. This is the print edition of that annoying cousin who shares *everything* their favorite author/musician/film writer/etc. posts and doesn't understand when you aren't as excited about it as they are. The overall impression it left me with is that he seriously needs to get a life and to get out from behind his keyboard.

1.0 out of 5 stars This truly sucked! 14 September 2015
By Rhiannon Stone - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I truly did not enjoy this read. I spent the majority of it wondering if the author was bragging about his own accounts or making fun of others. I definitely wouldn't recommend it anyone. I'm also a bit put off bit the large amount of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. For someone as popular as this author seems to think he is, you would think he would have at least one grammar obsessive friend that could help him edit his book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Proof Anyone Can Get Published 18 September 2015
By Kathi Schwede - Published on Amazon.com
This book proves that anyone can pay to have their work published. Hard to take 1 paragraph seriously as the "author" has quite the ego. Left it in my guest bathroom as reading material, someone used it as toilet paper when the roll ran out! Finally feel like I got my money's worth! Stick to your day job buddy!
