Great ports of some great 2-D platforming games with some welcome extra content. Disney's over-reliance on their back catalog is most welcome in this instance.
(Warning: My attached video contains easter eggs so it's a little spoilery)
This title follows the poorly received release of the PC ports on GoG but also the amazing compilation of Disney Afternoon NES platformers by Digital Eclipse in 2017. What we have is another stellar compilation from Digital Eclipse that brings us the best and original iteration of Aladdin that was released on the Sega Mega Drive. Because this compilation features a port of the Sega Genesis rom, it will be even better than what you remembered as it runs at a silky smooth 60Hz; greatly outdoing the PAL version's limited 50Hz output back in 1992.
A lot of bells and whistles are here including in-depth documentary style videos on the making of both Aladdin and The Lion King platformers, Gameboy versions of both titles and a special final cut of Aladdin that adds a few extra goodies along with general bug fixes and improved hit detection.
The Lion King is also here and I'd like to be able to tell you all about it if I could pass the second level.
