My child is 7 and past the diaper days. I tend to carry a lot of things around to help keep her entertained and meet her needs. I was tired of the oversized, tote bags and using them as purses; there are NOT enough pockets and everything ends up in a black hole. On top of things for my daughter, I like to have a 42 oz stainless steel water bottle with me for hydration. That makes my Mary Poppins bag extremely heavy.
Back pack purses are great, but too small for my day to day needs. The price of this item was great, not too expensive or cheap. The product feels high quality, seems like it will last for a really long time (probably long enough for every day use, when the new little eventually joins the family all the way through their needs). It's comfortable, the straps are easily adjustable. That's an extra bonus for winter and you're trying to shoulder your bag over an enormous coat.
