Answer:
According to Google, Barbados has US-type power outlets. This adapter works in that type of outlet and also accepts Australian plugs. Your appliances need to be able to work on 110V 60Hz, and you should not use anything that needs a ground (earth) since the adapter does not pass the ground connection through.

For example if you are in US or Japan, the voltage of these countries are 110V, if your hair dryer only works in 220V, you need a extra converter or a dryer can work in 110V to 220V. The travel adapter converts plugs only but not converts voltage.

Second, the main function of this travel adapter is to charge smart devices like phones, camera or laptops. Or electric appliances under 660W(110V) / 1440W (220V). If your hair dryer is higher this voltage, we do have another high power travel adapter specifically for it.

Answer:
No. The adapter will convert the plug to whatever is required but does not convert voltage. Unless the hairdryer has dual voltage settings i.e 120v/240v (unlikely) it will destroy itself on 240v.

No this is obviously a misprint by the seller. I bought one last year and recently took it to Japan. Excellent product, totally recommend it.
