You will need a starter kit or a hub to use the dimmer function on the bulb myself I use them with my Alexa ,with the Alexa or a google home you don’t need the hub you can also get a dimmer switch for them I believe

Philips hue light bulb got two version of them one is screw type and a bayonet. The photo shown is already a bayonet. You don’t have change.

You still need the Philips hue hub to connect the hue lights.
