Approx how many books can you store on the 8gb kindle? Trying to decide on the 8 or 32GB kindle as a present.

8GB is plenty if storing only books, because if one reads one book each week, that is about 2,000 books over 40 years.
However, if a massive reader and/or wanting to store PDFs go 32GB.
Another thing, which I am not certain of, is bigger GB means more space and probably faster operation, and probably longer battery life.
If money is not an issue, go 32 anyway, or buy a more advanced reader: Oasis?

Go for the 32Gb, only a tiny price difference for four times the storage!

FYI My partner has over 2000 books on her Kindle and still has 2.6 Gb room left.

I haven’t tested its limits. Free kindle unlimited means I have been reading books free. You do need wifi to download the next book.@

You can choose to read only rather than buy which is a good option. I am doing this at no cost. No need to buy more than the 8 in my opinion. My old one was 8 only and I had hundreds on it.
