Have you ever wanted to start your own business but not known where to start? Well this book is for you. We start at the beginning working through to starting and operating your own business.

There are numerous books on the market on how to start a business but in my journey as an accountant and start up business owner, I have never found one that gives good, easy to understand advice that covers most of the information you need to know. So I decided to write my own.

As you can imagine, I get asked by existing and potential clients regularly what is required to start a successful business. These people are usually high on excitement about their new venture and extremely optimistic about the business world which they are about to venture into. The time and effort required to collate all the information that you need to know is enormous and extremely overwhelming. Furthermore, paying for it on a one on one basis is simply unachievable not to mention unaffordable!

Unfortunately time and time again I have seen businesses fail, not from lack of effort by the owner but through lack of knowledge about how to start and run a successful business. It would be a great world if optimism equalled success but that simply is not the case.
