I got a copy of this book during a free promo. To be honest, the cover didn't entice me to read it nor the publicity around it targeted to women. If you are thinking of buying this book, you are in for a wonderful surprise. This book is a gem, full of advice, data, interviews. A must read for business owners or entrepreneurs, regardless of the gender. Perhaps the only thing that bother me, was the inconsistency in the layout of the book. But I'm very picky with the books I read, and like to pay attention to details!. If you are a professional designer, I hope you get to see beyond those details, and enjoy this book as much as I did.

Must read! Freelancers, professionals and anyone look to start their own venture or home business
Reviewed in Australia on 3 December 2014
Excellent. This book really applies to anyone who is looking to start their own business, venture from home, whether that's a full time business, a freelance pursuit, turning a hobby into something more, or all of the above. The book gives some sound advice backed up by real life stories and personal experiences. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is looking to "make the leap" as the author says. An inspiring read. I'm also sure to pass it to my daughter as well when she becomes a teenager to give her some inspiration.

I have found this book so helpful in working through my own decision to start my own business! Caroline has covered areas from the practical to the emotional, social media marketing to self-care. Her personal stories of childhood experiences touched me deeply, having had some of them myself. There are tips and prompts to take action throughout the book. A very enjoyable read!

Inspired to continue my Un-Career
Reviewed in the United States on 15 December 2014Verified Purchase
Great book! I started reading this book and finished it in less than a day. So much practical advice! I run my own business as a virtual assistant and being a business owner is a challenge! I find myself holding back and the frustrations can be overwhelming where I wonder why I continue to do this kind of work. McCullough's book grabbed me by offering suggestions about defining my reasons and motivations for being an entrepreneur. She takes you through different aspects of building your business, your brand and marketing which I found extremely helpful since I struggle with marketing myself and leveraging leads but it's clearly spelled out in this book in a non-intimidating way. Finally, I loved her candid speak - it's tough running your own business and trying to balance a life with your family while also taking time for yourself. She gets it and after reading this book, I feel like I can breath a sigh of relief because I have a better plan to get my business and life on track with my vision for my successful future. If you are a business owner get this book! It is loaded with practical, thoughtful advice and tools that I'm confident will help you (me) stretch your entrepreneur wings and soar!
