Product Description

THE MOST INFAMOUS CRYPTID EVER TO CAPTURE THE IMAGINATION OF THE PLANET...

A MAN PUTTING HIS LIFE AT RISK...

When evolutionary biology professor Dr. Zack Hitchens loses his wife in a senseless accident, he decides to follow her dreams all the way to the roof of the world-- the peak of Mount Everest. On the infernal mountain, Zack and his teammates battle sickness, whiteout conditions, avalanches, the oxygen-starved minds of other climbers - and something else. Something primitive and consumed with rage. Something seeking revenge...

Something downright abominable.

PRAISE FOR THE YETI

"THE YETI will take you on an insane trek up Mount Everest, draw you into the very real past, and send you spiraling toward the horrific possibilities surrounding the mountain's mysterious deaths. The perfect combination of great research and impossible to put down writing." -- Jeremy Robinson, international bestselling author of Apocalypse Machine and Project Nemesis

I have read all of Rick Chesler's books and this is far and away the best.It has the most thrills, tension and excitement I have read. There are so many spoilers I could share, but won't so you can enjoy this amazing novel yourself.
I learned so much I never knew about the danger and technical expertise of climbing a mountain like Everest. I know I will read it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wild and woolly read 18 October 2016
By Jane Stecker - Published on Amazon.com

I can only say this book is amazing. As an anthropologist who has studied the folklore of various cultures, I have always wondered what kernels of truth can be found in the stories of the Yeti in the Old World and the Sasquatch in the New World. Clearly those cultures saw something they couldn't explain. This book dives right in with a grieving widower, Mount Everest, an expedition of amateur climbers, and something. The characters are vibrant, the setting is the highest mountain in the world, and the level of research is in depth and incredible. This is definitely not a novel like Bigfoot stole my Girlfriend and how I stole her back. This novel draws some serious conclusions. A great mix of fact and fiction. Keep Wikipedia close. I had to use it several times. Well done authors.
5.0 out of 5 stars I love this writer 7 April 2017

Just started reading this. Moving ... busy. I love this writer, Rick Chesler. Very smart, incredible researcher, fantastic creativity.I have loved all those about the ocean. Because of his fascinating books, I am now interested in the oceans. Reading learning about the Atlantic and Pacific so far. Didn't know the Pacific ocean was twice the size of the Atlantic. Maybe that's why it is a cruel ocean. Kills people here in Oregon... standing on it's rocks, even strolling on it's beaches!!!! Called "sneaker waves". Nasty ocean! I read he lives in the Keys now, the Atlantic. Thanks Mr. Chesler for introducing me to my latest hobby, learning about the oceans. How many MORE are there? lol
