The textured grips on the top and bottom are very welcoming, should your hands get sweaty. The paddles are smaller than the series 1, they take a little bit to get use to. The old Series 1 paddles can be put in their place if you like larger paddles. The old magnetic thumbsticks can't be used on the series 2 so if you had after-market ones you have to buy them again for the new version. Only in the long-term we will see if the rubber bubbles like on the old one. The built in battery lasts for about 2 days of use and recharges easily on the wireless charger but you need to lift the cloth material to get the pins to connect.

After the typical issues with series 1 ( grips, stick drift ), this seems a whole lot better ( yes, it's new ) but only time will tell. The xbox button requires very light touch to work and the response is better from both sticks and buttons. Time will tell

These devices are not AU stock, and therefore not supported by a warranty. 8 months in and RB button doesnt work or at best 20% of the time. As mentioned this is a known issue and very common problem.. save your money, so dissappointing I feel cheated.

after 7 months the RB button is not working properly and often when i press it, it does not do anything. For $250 this should not happen. This is apparently a common issue and the only fix I have seen is taking on the face of the controller removing a bit of plastic around the button

I hesitantly post this low review as I believe this is an issue with the product rather than the reseller, and would give this 1 star if the seller was Microsoft themselves. Otherwise, the delivery was quick without problems.

The controller feels great if not a little heavy. However, a premium product not working flawlessly out of the box is shameful. A quick google search shows "elite series 2 bluetooth" even autofills with "disconnects" right afterwards. The issue is experienced by many and the symptoms similar - every minute or two, the controller disconnects for a few seconds. The rumoured fix is to purchase an additional item - the "Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10". Though, asking me to purchase another item for an additional $30 after I had just spent $250 on a premium controller feels nothing short of daylight robbery. Very disappointing first experience with this product.
