Oops, I did it again. Did not start at the first book. Never mind. This was a good read and I guess it didn't really matter where I started. She enters a mail-order marriage and within a few months is a widow - pregnant, alone, and near death in the Wyoming wilderness. She is saved by a man who is upset with the fact his brother is in love with the same girl he is. That girl is to marry his brother. To help the woman he found he asks her to marry him, she agrees as she needs a husband for her unborn baby. She has also lost part of her family. Though danger surrounds them on the Wyoming frontier, the greatest threats of all are the secrets within. HEA ending
Oh another great story. I love my Western romances and this is a great one. Life is harsh on the new frontier and this is like going back in time it's hard to comprehend this was their reality. After three months in a mail-order marriage, Hannah Wentworth McMurtry is a widow—pregnant, alone, and near death in the Wyoming wilderness. Though she is saved by a man with a face cut from stone, she still grieves the husband who died on their journey west. Hannah needs a husband, but does she dare marry another stranger?
Flint Creed has also lost someone he loved—when the woman he hoped to marry chose his younger brother instead. Now he must find a ranch wife of his own. But every female in the remote Wyoming Territory is too old, too young, or already married . . . until he discovers Hannah on the prairie. Flint doesn’t pretend to love her, but he doesn’t tell her he loves another woman, either. Hannah doesn’t pretend to love him, but she doesn’t tell him about the child she carries. Though danger surrounds them on the Wyoming frontier, the greatest threats of all are the secrets within—revelations that could destroy the new life Hannah and Flint have begun to cherish. It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat . I will read this again and again as every time I do I am transported back and live it with them. A great read

As good as the first book for me Wyoming Bride did not disappoint! Easily FIVE STARS *****
Firstly if you haven't read Texas Bride yet, you should read it before you read this book! What I love is that this book really ties in with the last one and of course if you have read it you can clearly remember and see the threads running through. Although if you prefer this book could be read as a standalone book.
I have enjoyed reading Joan Johnston's books so much I have ordered the next series beginning with Barefoot Bride, so will review those as soon as I read them! The characters and stories are always well developed and written and I struggle to book the books down! (Let's just say I cannot wait until Montana Bride is released)
Hannah and her sisters are waiting for word from Miranda who has taken their two brothers and moved to Texas as a mail order bride. Time is coming closer to when the twins Hannah and Hetty must leave the orphanage as they will be 18, leaving behind Josie to suffer the abuse of the mistress of the orphanage for another two years! Hannah agrees to become a mail order bride of a man who is moving West to Wyoming on the wagon train and agrees in return for the marriage that he will also take her sisters as well with them. On their journey west Hannah's husband McCurty dies of Cholera. Hannah finds herself stranded in the Wyoming wilderness without her sisters, with child, and near death when Flint Creed stumbles upon her. Flint (Super Sexy Cowboy Rancher) rescues Hannah and brings her back to the ranch. Flint lives with his younger brother Ransom in a house they share on their ranch. Ransom is going to be wed to Emaline in a month, but it is Flint who met and fell in love with her first. He realises Emaline's heart belongs to Ransom but that doesn't mean he is going to let go of the way he feels. But, something about Hannah stirs him and he feels drawn to her. He offers a marriage of convenience, she has nowhere to go and he doesn't want to live in a house with the newlyweds and assumes being married will prove a great enough distraction. If only things were that simple.... as the story unfolds you will be turning page after page to find out what happens next! I thought Hannah's character was great she is made of strong stuff and I really enjoyed how she looks at things and can call it as she sees it!

Joan Johnston never disappoints, her books keep your interest to the very last sentance, sometimes hard to put down and go to sleep when I read in bed. Thanks Joan, I love all your stories that take place on ranches and cowboys.
