The information was good. I would have liked to hear a little more about procedures. Those details are why I/we bought the book. I noticed a number of misspellings which probably should have been caught and corrected before now. I guess mostly I had a problem with the way they book appeared on my Kindle. Something in the formatting made it display 2 pages at a time. That made the type too small to comfortably read. On small devices you had to constantly adjust the page to read it. Sgt. Pacifico obviously had the information and experience to lead us through the subject. I just wish he had focused on the homicide investigation and less on things like courtrooms and juries. I'm sure there are books detailing court procedures.
When he was covering the actual details of the homicide investigation, it was very good and worth the read. I would have preferred less information about the making of a policeman, getting hired, crime classification, and the courts. All of that was very interesting and I liked reading it, but maybe it was too large a part of the book. A guide to homicide should be just that. The author has insights and information that is not available to anyone else in the system and that's what I was hoping to read.
