Product Description

Two years ago, Evie’s sister died, leaving her lost. Existing without really living. Coping the only way she knew how: by wrecking things.

Last year, Evie exposed her dad’s affairs, finished ripping apart her relationship with her longtime boyfriend, and completely ruined her music scholarship.

But today, she’s reinventing herself at her new university. Desperate to break away from all the destruction she’s caused, Evie’s ready to start over. For her sister, who never even had a chance. And for herself.

Then Rhys, her new voice instructor, happens.

He’s gorgeous and insanely talented, but he’s also a part of the dark past Evie is trying to overcome. Rhys’s brother is the reason why her life went up in flames, the reason why Lily, Evie's sister, is dead. But even though Rhys is the last person Evie should ever want, for the first time in two years, wrecking things seems…right.

*WRECKED is a standalone novel and is not a part of a series*

5.0 out of 5 stars Won't Disappoint 20 June 2014

I like to leave reviews in a way that I would want to read a review of the book so here it goes. First of all, this is a stand alone book. No cliffhanger. We only get one point of view. We see the story through Evie's eyes. This story had me in knots. Rhys will make you fall in love with him. He is so sweet and patient. Evie was a bit difficult for me to understand. To be honest I didn't even like her most of the time. I understand that she is struggling majorly with her sister's death, but she is rude and gruff to most people in the book. There are times were we see her true self come out instead of the character that wrecks everything. I wouldn't have liked her very much if I had met her. Emily Snow does a good job of making me like Evie in the end. To me this story is more about Evie and how she is coping and surviving than about Evie and Rhys. There are Evie and Rhys moments, but I feel like there are more parts with them apart than together. There is a mystery that surrounds Rhys, Evie, Evie's sister, and Rhys' brother. We know that there is a connection, but we don't know the connection until later in the book. Evie recognizes Rhys, but Rhys doesn't know who Evie is. That makes for a bit of drama. Read the book to see who wrecks who and why.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Read 20 June 2014

What can I say but Emily Snow does not disappoint once again this book was once again was simply Fantastic. This is the story of Evie a young woman going through a lot of emotional turmoil in her life due to the death of her sister. And Rhys a music teacher and bartender with a lot of his own family secrets. When Rhys and Emily meet the chemistry is off the charts immediately but when past issues arise you are rooting for them to get through them and can't wait to see where this rollercoaster of angst and emotions lead to but you need to stay on this ride to find out. If you are looking for a book that will definitely pull at your heart strings this is definitely one you do not want to pass up.
3.0 out of 5 stars Decent, but lacking appeal. 14 June 2015

Wrecked follows the life of Evie after her sister dies in a terrible, tragic accident. Going to school far from home is supposed to take her troubled away. However, once Rhys (pronounced Reese) walks into her school she knows she is in trouble. What follows is a couple of months of want and need on both Rhys and Evie’s part until finally they come together. But her past is soon to catch up with her as these two are linked in a serious way,

This book was a quick read for me. I actually finished it in a day. The characters were fairly likeable, but Eve’s secret really started to get to me. I also was becoming a little annoyed at how often the work wrecked was used throughout the book. In some instances even I couldn’t figure out why that word was being used in specific contexts. In any event, it was a decent book and I will have to check out some more of the books of Snow’s that I am hearing rave reviews about.

Overall Rating: 3.6

Sizzling Factor: Slow, steady burn.

Would read again?: No, but I will check out some more of her books!

4.0 out of 5 stars I Expected More!!! 24 June 2014

This was the first book I've read by Emily Snow and don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad but I had a total different expectation after reading the blurb. I wanted angst, raw emotions, struggle ...just more feelings throughout the book - but all this, I didn't really get.

The writing was good but I wasn't really glued to my kindle.

The blurb, the prologue, and even some of the flashbacks were promising but all this fell short because Evelyn and Rhys 'relationship' didn't take over the majority of the book. I've read a lot what was going on with her college friends, a bit of her family drama, and about her best friend. How she wrecked things was mentioned, too, but it rather left me feel cold than evoke a reaction out of me. I couldn't really connect or get attached with Evelyn's pain and heartache - same goes with Rhys'. We learn his family isn't as perfect either (as learned in the blurb) but all the talking was superficial; it lacked on depths for me.

Their steamy encounters were indeed STEAMY but that's it.

I wished and wanted more from the book; sure, that's just my opinion and many rated it 5 stars but I expected more, especially after reading such a blurb.

This doesn't mean I won't keep an eye out for Ms Snow's other books, or that you won't like her book; just that this one wasn't very satisfying for me.
4.0 out of 5 stars So sad but so good. 30 June 2014

If you're looking for a title that fits the book perfectly, then this is the one to check out, because Evie sure wrecked her life, but Rhys was there to pick up the pieces.

Evie's sister had been killed and she practically destroyed her family by revealing her dad's affairs. After finding herself ready for a new start, she goes to college in search of an escape. Little did she know her music teacher, Rhys, would be the one to repair her wrecked soul. But his past sure comes into play when Evie finds out his brother was responsible for her sister's death. What a tangled web we weave with this one, but I was pulling for them to be together.

I love the way their relationship progressed even when facing her parents with Rhys was one obstacle she had to overcome. I fell for Rhys from the start and I love how they were there for each other because both had experienced some kind of loss, but yet it was different. Rhys and Evie made a great couple and I think together they made each other stronger.

I had this book on my wish list forever and was so glad to get my hands on it as soon as it was released. If you're looking for a story of love, loss, and finding a new path, then this one you need to read!!
