Product Description

Most people have never been taught how to work. We are committed to our job and want to be good at what we do. We are neither lazy nor unwilling. But we do not always work effectively - we work hard but not always smart. To increase performance many people believe they need to do more. We spend less time with our loved ones, neglect our health and put our passions and hobbies on the back burner. And we end up frustrated, out of control and stressed.

'Work Smarter: Live Better' will transform your life:

- learn simple and practical tools to be in control at work,
- learn how to gain an extra two hours per day, and
- learn how to make room for what is important to you!

This journey will challenge your way of thinking about work. You will learn how to work smarter and more importantly, live better.

This is one of the best books on time management, and life management, that I've ever read. Cyril takes you through a simple step by step process to help you become for efficient AND more effective. The two go hand in hand and Cyril talks about the importance of doing the right things and how to execute your plan. He also gives you absolute gold in his chapters on how to be more efficient. It's likely no-one ever taught you how to work efficiently. This book does just that.
An excellent read with powerful implementation steps that helped me get back in control of the paper monster and focus on the big picture. Awesome!

3.0 out of 5 stars pretty useful 12 May 2013

Some good advice and practical tips here. Not quite to the level of David Allen's Getting things Done but still, good advice to help you improve your efficiency and most importantly, effectiveness. This was the big takeaway for me - that you HAVE to focus on important things first.

There are a lot of claims made by the author that have no supporting material and really nothing of any substance. I got more information off YouTube for free

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book - simply written and very useful 30 August 2012

Format: Kindle Edition
Having read a number of short books on time management, work/life balance and generally making oneself more efficient at work and home I was given a copy of this book by a friend. It's a fairly quick read and written in a style that energises the reader and makes you want to try out the work methodology.

I consider myself an pretty organised person but Cyril Peupion takes it to the next level. What I particularly liked was that he uses tried and tested tools (largely Microsoft Outlook) and doesn't require you to invent new systems. His is a pragmatic and common sense approach that, after an initial small investment of time, makes you feel that you are better organised, less likely to miss tasks or break deadlines and, importantly, set reasonable goals and expectations for yourself and for those around you.

The chatty style of the book does not make you feel you are being preached to, nor that you are being asked to become a slave to your diary/email/to do list. Cyril's is an integrated approach that makes a difference to your stress levels, your efficiency and the way that others view you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Useful Tips 5 January 2014
By Domenico Fedele - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I've read many time management books but this one resonated with me the most. Practical tips to improve your efficiency and effectiveness, be better organised and achieve more quality work in less time with tools we already have at our disposal such as Outlook or Calendar (he goes into great detail on how to use Outlook's most useful features that are often overlooked). He helps you find lost time and get back an hour a day. A really good book written by someone who is passionate about the subject.
