Product Description

Never go into the forest alone. Don’t stray off the path. Stay home during a full moon.

Maya Brookes knows the rules, but that doesn’t mean she always wants to abide by them. With her father sick, she’s stuck running the family business, and unable to live the life of a normal twenty-one year old. After a particularly hard day working, she finds herself lured into the forest, despite it being a full moon. She soon learns the reason for the rules as she comes face to face with a giant white wolf who can shift into a man. A naked man. A man who is clearly very pleased to see her…

Wolf shifter Chance Nickoli has always been used to being at the bottom of the pack’s hierarchy. He thought he was content until an attack that originated from his own pack left him scarred. Pondering his future, Chance takes to the forest in wolf form. The last thing he expects is to catch a scent he recognizes instantly as belonging to his mate. A mate he hasn’t even met yet. He’s even more surprised to discover his mate is human.

Can a wolf shifter and a human ever have a future? Or will their desire for each other divide the Dark Ridge wolves and uncover a secret kept buried for years...

The Dark Ridge Wolves can each be read as standalone books, as each story follows a different couple, but they are best read in order.

It doesn't matter how many books I read, I am always excited to discover a different shift (pun intended) to the usual theme. This story is not about the alpha of the wolf pack as is more common. When life takes a huge turn into an unknown, how one accepts that change reveals a lot about their character. This book is well written and offers quite thoughtful insights into our main characters and was a pleasure to read. I believe that there are more books on the way in this series and I look forward to reading them also.

Maya always wanted more . But she never knew what . She wanted to go into the woods but was taught to stay away on full moons and after dark. Chance was feeling like he didn't belong. He was betrayed by the pack. Then Maya walked into the woods and caught in a snare. He saves her and everything changes.
This story is cute but also sad. I highly recommend this book to all shifter lovers

5.0 out of 5 stars Who doesn't love the big bad wolf 21 April 2017
By Sherri - Published on
Drowning in a sea of responsibilities Maya is wishing for something more. Stay home and stay out of the forest during the three days of the full moon. This has been drilled into her. The full moon belongs to the shifters. Surely stepping just inside the tree line won't hurt anything... after all she's so close to town, shifters won't be out here. Shifters aren't the most dangerous thing in the woods though. Caught in a hunters snare proves life changing for Maya.

Betrayed by his own pack Chance is at a low in his life. The moon is full and it's time to let his wolf free, but he isn't interested in running with his pack so he skirts the forest closer to town. Then he scents his mate... or does he? He's so confused.

I think this is my favorite Dark Ridge Wolves book so far! After the last book I was super excited to Chance's story. The book is well written and descriptive, letting you fall right into the story with the characters. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Best in the series so far 3 May 2017

Maya's stressful life is at a tipping point and, really just for the excitement and taboo, goes for a walk in the woods on the full moon. getting trapped in a snare wasn't on the plan and coming face-to-face with a shifter wasn't really either, it was just a fantasy, delusional, maybe, but a fantasy none-the less. When he decides to shift back to his human form instead of kill her she's relieved and intrigued, this super-sexy naked man is way more than she bargained for. Chance, on the other hand, is pretty low in the pecking order of the pack, and having just come across his mate should be a good thing, but the fact that she's human is not going to make his life back home any easier.

This book deviates quite a bit from the first two. Chance is not an alpha male trying to prove himself to his mate. Maya is not a shifter, aware of the hierarchy and how things are supposed to work. She has a life outside of the pack that she can't just give up and if they want to stay together they both have to reevaluate their lives and the pack has to be willing to change it's ways a bit to accommodate this.

I look forward to reading more in this series and to see how this union will shake things up in the community.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!!!!!!!!!! 28 April 2017

I got this book as an ARC for my honest opinion and review. I have read all the books so far in this series. I have always love shifters and this was a great short read.  Maya is doing everything she can to take care of her sick father. She is running his business and not enjoying the freedom that most 21 year olds do. She knows the rules about the woods and the full moon. She just thinks none will be this close to town. That is when she comes face to face with a white wolf that can shift in to a man. Chance knew the scent of his mate. He has been betrayed and scared by his pack. Will the pack come between him and his mate?
