Product Description

This is the first book in the 2-book Witness series.

College student Courtney Hartford's worries are confined to doing well in school and having an active social life. That is, until she witnesses a murder.

And then recognizes the murderer.

His warning not to tell, coupled with his threat against her life and the life of her mother, pushes her to make a difficult decision--tell the police the truth, or let the people who are threatening her control her life.

Witness does not contain any profanity or sexual content.

A great story. It's so nice to have a lovely clean book to read. I read Witness and the concluion to the story Retribution. To me I think that both books could have been just the ones book. I am glad I was able to read both books one after the other, if I had to wait for a long while for the second book to become available it would have been very frustrating.

Enjoyed reading this book. Can't wait to get into part 2 which I am sure will be just as good as part 1

It would have been nice if the story had an end. I understand it is a series, but shouldn't each book in a series have a beginning, middle and an end?
4.0 out of 5 stars Good take on a teen 16 January 2017

I received a free copy of this book in a multi author giveaway. I voluntarily chose to review. This is my honest review.
The "terrible twos" are nothing compared to a nineteen year old on the cusp of maturity. It is a dangerous age as these young people are starting to get a little life experience, yet haven't lived through enough to make wise decisions. They live in their heads, trust others of their own age, and emotion rules over logic. Christine Kerseys' depiction of Courtney was spot on! Writing through her eyes and thoughts allows the reader to experience her convoluted reasoning and the resultant consequences.
Kersey is a new author to me; I was impressed by her insight and the skill she used to convey it. The book has a tense feel to it, as a thriller should, but it isn't overdone.
As advertised, this tale has a second part. Personally, I don't mind, as putting two parts together would have made this too long a time with tension. The break gives me time to reflect on how I feel about what I have read to this point. Since the first book is free, I am not feeling bad about paying for the second book. My curiosity is worth the price today.
I liked the story, was frustrated with the teens, and remember well my own late teens. Kudos to Kersey for depicting them in a realistic fashion. My rating is more a 4.5, as I want to see if the author tops herself in part two. This is a good choice for young adults, as well as adults.

Witness by Christine Kersey is another wonderful book. This story of suspense & romance keeps you hooked & guessing till the last page. I enjoyed reading it.
Courtney is a college student, who is putting herself through school. She spends most of her time studying & working. Unfortunately Courtney witnesses a murder. Because of it, her life is turned up side down, herself & people closes to her are threatened.
In Retribution Book 2, continues Courtney's story.

Follow Courtney as she witnesses a murder that is committed by Dylan who she had a date with. Dylan tells her not to tell. Courtney is not sure what to do but as she is trying to decide, she gets threatened! She soon finds out Dylan is part of a gang so she is threatened by many! She finally tells her friend Shelby. She also tells her mom. Her mom wants her to go to the police and as "baldy" thinks she has gone to the police her boyfriend Tyler gets beat unconscious. Is this a warning from baldy and the gang? Will she tell the police? Will her mom and Shelby be safe?
Follow this edge of your seat book to find out if Courtney will do the right thing!
4.0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful, Clean, Great read! 6 May 2017

This is a suspenseful book about a young college girl Courtney who is Witness to a murder. And how her life is turned into a complete turmoil and fear because of it. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that is hard to put down. My only dislike is I am not a fan of the type of book that cuts off at the end of one book and you are left hanging until you get book 2. Which is what this is. I'm all for series books, but don't cut the book off at the end of a paragraph and then make us wait until book 2 comes out. Sorry my only bad comment. Love this Author.
