About the Author
Roger Priddy's love for children's early learning has led him to create some of publishing's most successful children's non-fiction books, including Priddy Books' million-copy bestsellers, My Big Animal Book, My Big Truck Book and Happy Baby Words.
"It is always rewarding to see a child enjoying and learning something from one of our books, especially babies, when you think it could be the first book they have ever seen.
"I am very lucky to have a career where you get to think up fun ways to teach a kid how to write their letters and learn their first words, whilst finding out about Dinosaurs at the same time!"
Roger lives with his wife, Zena, in London and Cork, Ireland. They have four children, who have given him most of his best ideas for his books.

My only complaint is the dry erase marker. It stays wet for a long time on the book so children just smear their forearms through it before it dries. The marker that it comes with is NOT WASHABLE. I pride myself on getting stains out of my kid's clothing but when this marker accidentally got on a dress, it was trashed.
I recommend buying Crayola's washable dry erase markers (it still stays wet on the pages longer than I like) or dry erase crayons.
Anyway, my only complaint is that the Priddy marker smudges. You have to use some kind of wet rag/napkin or baby wipe to clean the pages. I just happened to have a new pack of thin Expo markers (that may indeed stain if you don't wipe them off when you're done with the book for the day). They do not however fit in the Priddy marker holder, but the easy fix to that is Velcro.
I highly recommend these books for new writers and hope this review was helpful.
