3.0 out of 5 stars Good for beginners 17 December 2016

It's helpful to someone that is a casual Windows user and only knows the basics. As an intermediate user I already knew 90% of what's covered here. It's not a guide for "under the hood" tweaking of settings like much of the "Windows Annoyances" cover. This explains things like creating a shortcut on the desktop, renaming a file, and using MSConfig to control start-up programs. Pretty simple stuff, like a Computers for Dummies book without all the lame attempts at humor. For someone that is new to Windows - especially 8 or 10 - this is a handy guide, but a lot of these tips also apply to XP, Vista, and W7, so I wouldn't recommend it to a long-time Windows user that's already familiar with the operating system.

Pretty good. Not best for newbies, but if you have some experience, a nice book to have.

As I have Windows 10 and it is somewhat different than Windows 7, I needed some assistance on using the system. I do like W10
1.0 out of 5 stars Facebook is a waste of time 12 April 2017

Not helpful, does not seem to be really writing about windows 10. Facebook sucks. Instructions are incomplete. I do not recommend it.
2.0 out of 5 stars Could be better 4 February 2017

This book would be much better if it contained illustrations, diagrams, or screen grabs. It is very hard to understand from written descriptions only.
