Who wants to be an Adventurer? Everyone! That’s why you’re willing to do anything, including sabotage your rivals, to be the best. You might conquer the Dragon’s Hoard or curse your enemies with Gorthak’s Tremulous Bowel. You might become a Boss-Killer or get Kicked in the Head by a Pissy Unicorn. All’s fair in love and adventuring! Thou Sucketh is a hilarious fantasy-themed deck-building game, in which you take on the role of an aspiring adventurer. You not only buy awesome cards for yourself, you buy detrimental cards to put in your opponents’ decks! They can make life complicated, but in a funny way. Game play is easy to learn. You generate resources from your hand, purchase cards for yourself or another’s deck, and compete for the most victory points in your deck at the end of the game. If you win, shout “Verily, I Ruleth!” loudly and proudly. Each player in Thou Sucketh is competing against the others. There are enough starter decks to accommodate up to five players. Games take about an hour.

The game has a great “take that!” Mechanism in that when you purchase a card you choose to either place said card into your discard pile or into another players discard pile. There are cards that allow the user to draw more cards, there are cards that cause the user to discard cards (and you MUST use negative cards), there are cards that add points and cards that subtract points at the end of the game.
This is in no way an exhaustive review. I’ve only played a few times, primarily due to a very limited number of people in my life with whom this can safely be played!
If you enjoy deck builders, and if you enjoy being able to totally mess someone up, then this is the game for you!
