Product Description

ALFA Private Investigations is a spin-off of the Men of Inked series, but can be read separately.

There's only one thing worse than dating a friend's sister sleeping with his mother.

Fran DeLuca's known for her bossy, overbearing personality almost as much as for her love of nylon tracksuits. But when someone runs off with fifty thousand dollars, she becomes involved in an ALFA investigation and catches the eye of silver fox biker, Bear.
Bear North, ALFA's resident bad boy, has never thought of Fran as anything more than his buddy's mom. When she trades in her elastic pants and orthopedic tennis shoes for a pair of skintight jeans and high heels, he takes notice of the fifty-something MILF.
When the money trail leads closer to Fran than expected, Bear takes charge of the investigation and will do anything to protect her. Can Bear track a thief, claim Fran, and keep Morgan DeLuca in the dark long enough to solve the case?

Wow,I love this series almost as much as I love the Gallos series!!! This is the story of Fran and Bear. One thing I didn't expect from this book was just how kickass Fran is, she had me keeling over with laughter with her attitude! And I certainly didn't expect to want my own Bear - Hubba bubba:) Looking forward to the next story as I feel we left off with a bit of a cliffhanger regarding Bear's son Ret?!?

It's been around thirty years since Bear was last in a meaningful relationship. In that time he's been in more than his fair share of less than meaningful ones, often with women half his age, but meaning is something he's been steadfastly avoiding for decades. True love, and the crippling grief that follows it will do that to a guy. A rough and tumble alpha male with little regard for those who aren't part of his inner circle, he's a hard man to get close to.

Fran DeLuca, the mother of Morgan, who was featured in the first of the Alfa PI books, has also been single for more than a little while, and while her marriage lasted much longer than Bear's, it wasn't the fairy tale with a tragic ending that his was. Her's was pretty much tragic the whole way through.

When Fran's part time lover disappears in the night after having stolen fifty thousand dollars from her daughter-in-law's business, the whole Alfa PI team is called in on the case, thrusting Bear and Fran into close proximity and the heat sizzles thawing hearts that have been frozen over for years. Of course, Morgan, caught in the middle as Fran's son and Bear's friend is well aware of Bear's track record with women and feels honor bound to protect his unsuspecting mother from his advances.

A wonderful, fast paced tale of transformation, meddling and second chances, filled with humor poignant moments and a liberal dosing of hot sex, Wicked Impulse is just the thing to warm up a cold night.

Being a tale of love between a couple closer to fifty than they are to twenty, I found it to be a refreshing change of pace, and thought the various reactions of the other characters, friends and family on both sides of the relationship, added a level of realism to a tale so outside the norm of everyday life.

Just my opinion, but I think its the best of the series so far.

Once again chelle bliss has knocked another one out the ball park that not only Sal would be proud of but the "Cubbs" as well. Lol.
I love how Bear got his happily ever after. And the fact it was with Fran even better. I loved how she came out of her track suit wearing shell and gave Bear as good as he gets. Love these books. And highly recommend them to everyone.
