Jeremy Fisher began piano lessons at 7 and finished at 7.30. He nearly gave up when his piano lessons clashed with Mission Impossible on TV.

He has performed in every imaginable venue, including a prison, in the display window of a shopping centre, and 150 feet underground in a pothole.

He studied oboe, piano and accompaniment at the RNCM and won a national collaborative pianist prize at the age of 21. He was guest solo artiste for the Yamaha Corporation for 5 years.

As a West End musician since 1988, Jeremy has worked on many shows including Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Me and My Girl, A Chorus Line and Carmen Jones. Jeremy’s 2002 book Successful Singing Auditions with Dr Gillyanne Kayes was based on his experience of more than 8,500 auditions in London’s West End.

Jeremy is also a singing voice specialist and has worked as a repetiteur for four Opera companies. He has written many books on singing including Successful Singing Auditions (2002), the Singing Express series for children (2009-11), This Is A Voice (hardback 2016, paperback 2018) and a chapter on “Pedagogy in Different Sung Genres” in The Oxford Handbook of Singing (2019).

In 2018, Jeremy’s ebooks How To Sing Legato and How to Accompany your Singing Students both became Amazon #1 bestsellers on their first day.

The Science Museum in London commissioned Jeremy to create a “Voicebox Video” showing the inside of a singing larynx. His work has been featured on the BBC’s science programmes Leading Edge and Science In Action, broadcast worldwide to more than 44 million people. The One Minute Voice WarmUp App has already reached #1 on Google Play and #3 on the Appstore.

Jeremy has presented on singing and performance techniques in the UK, Spain, Sweden, Latvia, the Netherlands, the US and Australasia. He has lectured in Musical Theatre at RCSSD, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His vocal folds have featured on the British Voice Association leaflets and have appeared on Channel 4 as an example of a healthy voice. He works with musical theatre performers, actors, songwriters, classical singers and on repertoire, style, performance integration and career planning.

In his spare time, Jeremy sleeps and eats.
