I really enjoyed this book, it's beautifully written with an almost living description of everything going on around the you and the woman in the story. It's written in such a way that you feel as if you are there. I loved the way the cat was described throughout it the book as well as the other people in and around the story. A little place in life with a circle of very nice people that most people would enjoy. The story flowed nicely keeping my interest as I turned each page. I have now found another good writer and will be getting more of her books.
I'm not giving anything away about the story, except to say it turned into a mystery, but not the blood curdling with stress and violence sort of Murder Mysteries that I find to stressful and unpleasant to read.
This is more a Mrs Marple, type Mystery, where a young woman with a cat with personally and a gentle group of elderly friends, who seem to jell together. Who live in a small town and working out what the police often seem to miss.

I much prefer this book to the first one of Sofie Ryan's that I read. A well written and very enjoyable mystery with more than a hint of feline magic thrown in.
