Once again we are in Hearts Edge Montana where I believe all the best men live and the smooth tongued Holt Silverton is no exception This walking talking billboard example of all that you could want in a man is a real estate developer determined to buy Libby Potter's land to build a shopping centre She wants nothing to do with him or his deals but he is determined to get not only her land but her as well Will he succeed You will have to read to see
i was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
He meets his match in the fiery Libby Potter, a rancher who is struggling to keep her farm. They are like oil and water, yet their sexual chemistry is absolutely combustible. There is a deep secret that Libby knows if discovered may cause irreparable damage to her chances of keeping her farm and Holt may be her only saving grace. There was a lot to digest in this romance/murder mystery, I loved uncovering the truth along with Libby and Holt. Another great Hearts Edge story. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
This is about Holt and Libby. Their attraction and chemistry off the charts.
There is a twist in the tale of this story, will it prevent them from ever getting together?
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

There are loads of sex scenes each of them appropriate and loving, if a bit repetitive.
It's exactly what it promised in the blurb, there are some quite slow moments, with a bit too much tell and not enough show, so at some points the story drags a little, however it does make up for it with a big showdown.
I thought the characterisation was good, but that Holt was a bit wishy washy and naive for a forty year old man. As for Libby, the character felt way too aggressive for comfort, there didn't seem to be a conversation she didn't turn into a shrew. I get that as a strong woman having to carry a heavy load for years could make her defensive and her nature made her one of life's fighters but that doesn't mean she would be such a bitch ALL the time.
Anyhooose, I've read the series and have enjoyed it, it provided what I purchased it for, an escape from reality for a little while, but I don't think I will continue to purchase other books by this author, at least for a while. After the first few books the plotline feels much the same as any other and it's time me to change it up a bit by looking for other authors I've not yet read but that shouldn't put anyone off the book because I did award five stars for a reason 😊
I so love Hearts Edge. Absolutely adored Holt and Libbys' story.
Loved their storyline and their connection with each other. Loved that she was such a wildcat and yet she had a heart of gold deep down.
Loved how Sierra came back into the family fold and that all went well with the farm and Ursa.
Really a great story.
