I was so excited to see this book -- especially at Christmastime! Of course I had to dig right in the minute it reached my Kindle. What could be better than a "second chance" romance?
Granted, I haven't finished it yet. However, I'm already happily impressed. If that changes, I will amend this review -- although I can't imagine changing my mind on this one.
Having lived in the southwest for many years it feels like coming home. I miss that culture so much, and the author's writing feels warmly authentic, whether for the characters, the settings, or the culture. "Whispering" to you -- love this.

Jake and Beth were high school sweethearts, planning to marry; but parents pulled them apart. Thirteen years later Beth is back because her dad is dying. She's single, Jake single with a son and the old chemistry is there as if the time away had never happened.

A very romantic story. Lots going on to the point where they finally get together. I would definitely recommend reading it.
