Wasn’t bad for a free read but the whole plot was just too trite and annoying for me which was a pity.
Found Kennedy too unbelievably forgiving and spineless by the end.
The reasoning for Kennedy leaving was just too strange. Nobody would run off without talking to one of their family members and the fact Kennedy could believe any charges would stick, was put down to her young age.
Kennedy lost 10 years with her mother and sisters and just forgives Buck with no recriminations or anger.
Add in the fact that Xander has thought for 10 years that his behaviour scared Kennedy into leaving but it was his father’s doing.
Then Xander and Kennedy both forgive Buck because he has a heart attack, is all remorseful and he apologises.
Kennedy doesn’t even tell the truth of what happened when she gets back.
Even with the interactions between the sisters which I enjoyed, I just couldn’t rate it higher.
