Product Description

When sixteen-year-old Lillie Hart meets the gorgeous and mysterious Tom Windsor-Smith for the first time, it’s like fireworks—for her, anyway. Tom looks as if he'd be more interested in watching paint dry; as if he's bored by her and by her small Nebraskan town in general.

But as Lillie begins to break down the walls of his seemingly impenetrable exterior, she starts to suspect that he holds the answers to her reoccurring nightmares and to the impossible memories which keep bubbling to the surface of her mind—memories of the two of them, together and in love.

When she at last learns the truth about their connection, Lillie discovers that Tom's been hiding an earth-shattering secret; a secret that's bigger—and much more terrifying and beautiful—than the both of them. She also discovers that once you finally understand that the world is round, there's no way to make it flat again.

An epic and deeply original sci-fi romance, taking inspiration from Albert Einstein’s theories and the world-bending wonder of true love itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting concept... 3 April 2017

This book was confusing to keep track of. As a love story, I can only admire the complexity of the storyline and the authors' ability to not only keep it straight, but to keep the readers straight on what was going on. I think it was a little underformed as far as character development... there could have been more depth to the reactions. Overall a pretty good book. I liked the complexity.... I only wish it hadn't felt so rushed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Romeo and Juliet in a Parallel Universe 27 October 2013

This is a great YA sci-fi. What I liked best was that the characters felt very real - they were well-rounded, interesting and likeable. I found myself reminiscing as I related to the life of teenage girls and the things they get up to. And what made this story even better was the addition of the fantastical element of parallel universes. Real characters dealing with the extraordinary. There was plenty of mystery and intrigue, action and thrills, laughs, and romance - which is the key theme at the centre of this plot - a tale of star-crossed lovers. I highly recommend it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Almost a 5! 19 September 2013

The majority of this book, I found myself chucking and flat-out laughing. The personalities of the lead character and her dynamic friends (and mother) pulled me into the story immediately. I loved them. I think I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 because I missed that dynamic as the story progresses and changes into a somewhat sad, and lonely story. It was still a very enjoyable story- and had I not been laughing so much in the beginning, I probably wouldn't have been as sad with the change in theme. Please note I read this book within one day- I couldn't put it down.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was okay 5 June 2014

A good book. I never expected the turn 60% of the way through. I thought it was quirky but was far too involved not to finish. Overall mediocre.
