Inspiring readingReviewed in the United States on 12 October 2011
I'd heard that bell hooks also wrote poetry, although I was more familiar with her essay work. The book contains her beautiful writings, and I keep my copy in my handbag to read while I am in transit. Her poems evoke powerful emotions.
Poetry okay / stronger proseReviewed in the United States on 18 November 2015
I think b. hook is a stronger prose writer. I enjoyed some of the poems.
