This was my least favourite book, that I have read by this author. Usually, her books are cute and light hearted, but this one was just ridiculous, with a fairly unlikeable leading lady. Alrhough she has a decent moral compass, I thought her abrasive and lacking any humility.
Also, anything with Satin (*sigh*) or his angel brothers, was too overdone, which made it more cringe than humour.

What about the curse? The book was great but there are so many threads that went nowhere. Why get a computer and talk about work but not do any, what about the audit bit? The family curse? Who is her father? It just goes on and on

Too choppy, too disjointed. Sadly not my taste at all!
But, I guess you can’t love very book you read, can you?

Most enjoyable fun.

When you make a deal with the Devil, you really must examine the small print in detail. It's bad enough that the Authorities won't acknowledge you as a sphinx but refer to you as an indeterminate species so trying to cope with Satin himself (not a misspelling but you'll have to read the book to understand) whilst trying to make an almost honest living isn't the easiest way to do things.
Well written with enough snark and humour, fantastic cast of characters and a good story line make this an easy choice to be very highly w.
Oh, and whatever you do, leave the pixie dust alone.

... was really looking forward to this book and did enjoy it. However

I was really looking forward to this book and did enjoy it. However, in my opinion, it is not as good as her previous books. The storyline was fun and interesting, the main character funny and sarcastic as always, but the male character lacked any depth at all and I just couldnt really believe in him nor could I fathom the reasons why he did things. I must stress however it was still an entertaining story and very readable.

Why I love RJ Blain
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 May 2020Verified Purchase
I laughed from start to finish, the characters are well drawn and engaging. Satan/Satin 😄😄😄 I cried laughing at that point. It's a must read. RJ Blain's snark and humour and witty plot line are so worth buying this book, .

Good

Really enjoyed this book in the series. As much craziness as in the others, with a storyline that felt quite nicely written. A read I would recommend !
Some editing mistakes with missing words here and there, and the expression "took a page from my/their book" was used way to often in my opinion.
