About the Author

KRISTEN LEPIONKA is the Shamus Award-winning and Anthony and Mcavity Award-nominated author of The Last Place You Look and What You Want to See. She grew up mostly in her local public library, where she could be found with a big stack of adult mysteries before she was out of middle school. The best thing about these books is Roxane herself, with her patchy self-knowledge and a penchant for getting out of her depth very quickly. The plot is intriguing, but it does descend into mayhem as is usual in American crime fiction and the twist at the end was predictable. I’ll definitely download the next one and I hope Lepionka writes many more.

I couldn’t put this book down, my family got ignored. I absolutely love the heroine, Roxane, and the plot cracks along with some good twists and turns. Looking forward to reading more. Highly recommend giving this series a go.
