Fans of Gillian Flynn and Robin Cook will love this book. I loved how the story wove a tale of possible postpartum depression and the challenges it can bring. The twist in the plot was unimaginable. And despite my best efforts, I never figured out what was really going on. Instead, I tore through each explosive surprise, heart pounding in my throat (for what it’s worth, this book gave me a much better idea of just what that expression means). ‘What lies beneath us’ is a nonstop rollercoaster ride, and I loved every electrifying second of it.
