After purchasing the Real Meal Revolution (digital format) and being inspired by the fabulous recipes and beautiful photos, I decided to search for other chef & dietitian designed LCHF recipe books. This is how I stumbled upon What The Fat.
I was pleased to discover that the book is from New Zealand and was also available in digital format. I should point out that, since having switched over to e-books, I no longer purchase physical books.
I was rather surprised by the very low price of the Kindle version of this book, however after downloading, I discovered that this is not the full book and only a partial version. I am very disappointed about this and would have quite happily paid full price for the full book in digital format. I bought this book purely for the recipes, only to discover that only around 20 recipes are provided in the Kindle version and you must purchase the physical book to obtain all of them. I should also point out that there are no photos of the food included in e-book either.
I cannot understand why, in this day and age, the publisher would short-change those who have moved away from physical books. I was able to purchase the entire book of Real Meal Revolution in digital format, complete with 80+ recipes and beautiful food photographs. Needless to say, I'm quite irritated by What The Fat's inability to step-up into the digital era.
The above comments aside, I will say that I am very pleased and impressed with the work that the authors have done to explain, document and explore the LCHF lifestyle. Grant Schofield also has an excellent blog worth checking out.
