Reluctant private investigator and perpetual trouble magnet Wes Darling has left his mother's detective agency and has moved onto a sailboat and a life of leisure. But leaving the family business doesn't necessarily mean he's left the life of a P.I. He seems to have a knack for getting caught up in investigations anyway, no matter how hard he tries to avoid it.
This collection includes the first three Wes Darling books. I found them to be suspenseful and enjoyable, with tight plots and an interesting anti-hero lead. If I were to offer a critique, it would be that every one of the female characters in all three stories - and there are a number of them - is broken in some way. If you mooshed them all together, you wouldn't end up with one complete, fully-functional girl. Odd, this. Still, the books are entertaining. Recommended.

Had potential but failedReviewed in the United States on 9 May 2020
I enjoy boating/island adventures but this series was more frustrating than satisfying. None of the characters were likeable including the main character Wes. The women were all terrible people yet he always convinced himself to 'help ' them. Waste of time.

Easy and enjoyable readingReviewed in the United States on 10 January 2017
I enjoyed them and was sorry to see the series end. A nice mystery around a good story. Very easy to read you could read and stop and pick it up to continue with no problem.

Bought all 3 Wes Darling books. What a waste of money. Book 1 starts out well, to much back and fort, not sure if Wes knows what he's doing!
