Product Description

Gwen Scott has run the bunkhouse at River's End Ranch for a few years now and feels like part of the Weston family. She can't imagine her life any other way and is content with the choices she made that brought her to this point. She's always wondered, though, about a certain guy she knew in college - a guy who set the standard all other men would have to live up to.

Gabe Grant is a successful judge in Oklahoma City, but feels like something is missing from his life. When he takes Amber's advice and books a vacation at the ranch, he has no idea that he's about to be reunited with the one who got away. Suddenly, it's as though his past and his future have collided, and he has to decide what that means.

Sometimes fate--and the fairies--step in to fix the things that once went wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Happy Reunion 2 March 2017

Gwen had started college to be a lawyer, but learned it wasn't for her so left and went into a different line of work. Now she is in charge of the hotel at the ranch and loving it. A reservation is made for Gabe Grant. Suddenly she's a school girl all over again. She had gone to law school with Gabe and they had been study partners. They were close, but when she left law, they lost touch. Now he was going to be at the ranch for five days!

Gabe couldn't believe he'd found Gwen. He'd always felt bad about losing contact with her. His career has gone well and was a Judge and not even 40.

They start seeing each other as much as possible, then he gets a phone call. He and one other man have been put up as District Judge . He got it and he's estatic about it, but he had been hoping to win Gwen. She also got a raise in her job that week and was thrilled. He didn't want to pull her away from a job she loved, but distant romances didn't work.

Gabe went up for a helicopter ride and the copter crashed. Rescue had gone out on horseback to see about the accident and look for the two men in the copter. Gwen was beside herself and actually passed out for a couple hours. When Gabe was taken to the hospital, he was unconscious and when he first came to, he didn't remember the ranch or Gwen being there. When she came into his room, he was surprised to see her. The doctors said it was most likely short term and it would come back. He remembered everything up to the time he arrived at the ranch. He was well except for his memory, so Gwen escorted him back to his home. When he remembered his trip and Gwen being there and what he had been ready to ask, he told her he couldn't ask her to give up her job and that the timing of their meeting just hadn't worked. But Gwen had different thoughts and said she was willing to leave the ranch if he was still willing to marry. Guess what happened then..........

A great romance of love once lost and then refound. I have totally enjoyed all the books in this series and hope there will be more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome Wagon 1 March 2017

I absolutely love the Welcome Wagon as well as the entire series. This author shows how true love can win, despite years of separation. Gabe and Gwen fell apart 10 years previously with neither really knowing why. Neither of them ever found someone to love until they meet again at the River’s End Ranch. Yes, love is expected in each of these books; but, how do the couple unite? In this book, someone is near death; but, who and why? How does a couple join the love of the their jobs and homes when they face being separated by two thousand miles? How does a tragedy bring them together? This book shows us no matter how many years we are separated, if we are truly in love and dedicated to that special person, differences can be worked out, IF we are willing to try. I definitely recommend this book, and series, to everyone as a MUST read, and it is great for all ages.
4.0 out of 5 stars A Second Chance at Love at River End Watch 6 April 2017

Welcome Wagon is a sweet tale of love and second chances at RER. Finally, Gwen gets her own story as she reconnects with her former flame Grant. Since the two already knew each other, their love affair did not seem rushed for once. And Amelia threw in an unexpected curveball to the plot so the stakes of their relationship felt real rather than a minor misunderstanding that was made into a much bigger issue.

My only quibble was the throw away comment about how women typically sacrifice their careers for live whereas men rarely make such grand sacrifices. It had the potential to be a really interesting dialogue about gender roles and equality in relationships but it ended up being an aside that went nowhere and so ultimately felt hollow.
5.0 out of 5 stars Second chance for love at the ranch 19 March 2017

I bought this book to continue my journey in River's End Ranch. It is about two college sweethearts meeting again many years later. They get a second chance to rediscover that they are still in love. No spoilers here but they have hurdles to go through before reaching marriage. It is interesting to see older lovers reunite. I remember this book if you like to read second chances at love and hope you enjoy this series enough to read more of the River's End Ranch books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not wha I thought 6 March 2017

I can't believe how it ended. Not saying this was good or bad, but the way that Amber n Gwen talked about the woman always giving in, thought it would end a different way.
