Product Description

Product Description

Ana Belle never wanted anything more than to hang up her apron, jump on her Vespa and ride off into the sunset, leaving Sugartown in the dust.

Elijah Cade never wanted anything more than a hot meal, a side of hot arse and a soft place to lay his head at night where he could forget about his past.

But you know what they say about wanting: you always want what you can’t have.

Nineteen year-old virgin Ana is about to discover that’s not quite true because a six foot three, hotter than hell, tattooed, Aussie sex god just rode into town. He’s had a taste of her pie and he wants more–no really, Ana bakes pies for a living, get your mind out of the gutter.

She’d be willing to hand over everything tied up in a big red bow, there’s just one problem; Elijah has secrets dirtier than last week’s underwear. Secrets that won't just break Ana’s heart, but put her life at risk, too. When those secrets come to light, their relationship is pushed to breaking point.

Add to that a psychotic nympho best friend, an overbearing father, a cuter than humanly possible kid brother, a wanton womanizing cousin, the ex from hell, and more pies than you could poke a ... err ... stick ... at.

And you thought small towns were boring.

Welcome to Sugartown.

*Content Warning. Intended for a mature 18+ audience. Contains explicit sex, oodles of profanity and a crap-tonne of AWKWARD.

For me this was one of those books that has your nose glued to the device while you're walking around the house or unstacking the dishwasher. I really resented having to put it down to do school pick up and seriously considered ignoring dinner making duties. The children may or may not have been left to entertain themselves a couple of times...
Ms Jenner has written a fantastic and captivating debut novel and has made to my auto-1-click list of authors with her writing style embracing both comedy and drama.
The first part of the book had me reading with a smile on my face, the rest had me crazily muttering to my device - things like, "What are you doing?" "No, don't do that!" "Oooh, I like that..."
The main characters are very well written, full of angst and you can't help but want them to get everything sorted so they can each have the happy life they deserve after the heartbreaks they have suffered in their young lives.
The supporting characters are entertaining and I can't wait for the next installment.
Welcome to the Book Boyfriend list, Elijah!

I loved this book it captivated me from the opening pages and never let me down I was sad knowing it was coming to an end.

The main characters are very well written they were written with emotions that made you feel like you were with them in Sugartown. I laughed and I cried and sometimes I just wanted to shout at the characters. None of the scenes dragged out or made you loose interest, things and people and places were described without going on about it like some novels it was so much easier to stay interested without over the top descriptions.

I recommend this book as a must read awesome debut novel I very much look forward to a second.

Carmen Jenner's debut novel is just unbelievable. Can't wait for the second one to come out.

This book has a lot of emotions throughout the novel and is just completely unexpected. It's fun, light & flirty & then all of a sudden turns dark and something you don't expect. I love that in a book but other people may not.

Certain things happen in the book that people may find hard to read as it maybe too close to home or they simply don't like it.

Carmen has amazing writing talent and can't wait to read all of her future books.

Again one of favourite authors of 2013 & she is Australian!!!

A MUST READ!!!

Don't let the title and the pretty cover fool you. Sure there is some sugary goodness to this story but there is also so, so much more! As the warning states, this book does contain explicit sex, oodles of profanity and a crap-tonne of awkward. But it also contains a sweet romance, scary bikers and bunch of hilarious laugh out loud moments, as well as one hell of a sexy, mysterious bad boy.

This book sucked me in from the very first paragraph. We are first introduced to Ana who has lived her whole life in Sugartown and always dreamt of leaving. She runs the pie shop and her dad is the mechanic across the road specialising in motorbikes. She is a dedicated big sister to Sammy, the sweet and funny kid with a lisp that you cannot help but adore. And her best friend Holly is one of the funniest, tell-it-like-it-is, doesn't-know-how-to-filter characters you are ever gonna meet.

Life gets interesting when Elijah Cade rides into town. He is sexy as hell, full of cockiness, covered in tatts and has irresistible dimples to boot. Taking on a position at Ana's dad's garage he is the perfect eye candy for Ana to ogle and fantasize about.

Elijah is instantly taken by Ana too and so the flirting begins. Payback for a practical joke has Ana and Elijah going on their first date.

What I particularly loved about this book is that even though it is Ana and Elijah's story I fell in love with all of the characters of Sugartown. Like Ana's dad the tough and scary looking biker that is really a teddy bear, with a sense of humour, at heart and Holly the crazy best friend.

Carmen writes in such a way that I was reluctant to finish this book and leave all these characters behind. I feel like I know these people and now that I've finished I'm missing them.

Where is Sugartown? Can I live there :). If a small town like Sugartown can have so many sexy men living in it then I need to be there. Carmen has you practically drooling at the mouth the entire book. Elijah Cade is like heaven. He is super sweet to Anna and you fall in love them both so quickly. I couldn't put this book down at all.

Holy Hot Mother of God this book was just all kinds of everything. When I finally got to sit and read without interruptions I couldn't put it down. My thought of reading for an hour before bed turned into reading until I finished at 4am.
The connection I felt between the charaters drew me in. The love/hate between Ana and Elijah, the protective father Bob, the gorgeous little brother Sam and the crazy best friend Holly. I love them all.
There was one part, after the parade, I actually had to stop reading and take a break. I really thought it was going to take a turn for the worst. But I couldn't leave it, I needed to know what happened.
It made me laugh, it made me cry, to me it was perfect and I can't wait to find out what happens next in Sugartown.
