About the Author
Best Selling Author, Speaker and Coach, Becky Norwood understands all to well the trauma and pain that comes from an abusive background. Hers began in early childhood. She chooses not to dwell there, and is passionate about helping others rise above the pain and come to a place of acceptance and love for self. Of the tools she uses, she has found her gift in using writing, to begin the healing process. By the skillful use of journals, blended with a focus on the thoughts we think and the feelings we are experiencing, she has been able to help many women rise above their fears and thrive. This book was inspired by her own experience in becoming strong enough to stand up, speak up, find her own truth and command her inner strength. Her story was published in August of 2017 with the title: The Woman I Love: Surviving, Healing and Thriving After a Childhood of Sexual, Emotional and Physical Abuse. This book "We Choose to Thrive" came about after she published her book, as she began connecting with amazing women at every stage of healing.

As someone who is just beginning my journey to healing, I found the stories in this book to be truly inspiring. The women in this book have not only survived but are thriving. Their stories give me hope that I will eventually be strong and confident in myself despite what I have been through. What I ultimately took away from this book is the message that my past doesn't define me.

How wonderful to hear the stories of such courageous women as they tell their own story of healing, surviving and consciously choosing to thrive!! It takes a certain level of bravery to stand up and speak one's own truth and that is exactly what each of these women have done! Thank you for giving me greater strength and encouragement to live my life in greater alignment as I continue to heal and thrive!!!

This book was hard to put down. It took incredible strength for these women to come out and share such a taboo subject. Becky is inspiring by getting all these woman together not to share just her own story, but others. Different walks of life and different experiences of abuse, but share one unison voice. They are still surviving and now they are thriving. Kudos Becky.
