Review
I love this book- everything about it invites the pregnant woman to rejoice in her pregnancy and celebrate her birth. The use of art, music, colour, affirmations and visualization with the body and breath is creative and inspiring. I particularly like that it simply assumes that the birthing mother will not necessarily be lying on her back in a medicalised setting. A new era where many more women give birth actively and empowered is on the way...A great book to have around the home when baby is on the way. --Janet Balaskas, Founder Active Birth Movement
A gorgeous book that will be really empowering for women who centre down and focus on these strong affirmations. Thank you so much. --Sheila Kitzinger, Author of The New Pregnancy and Childbirth
I think it [your book] is a very positive contribution to support birthing women. There is so little offered to encourage women to connect to themselves and their birthing power. In my work teaching pre-natal yoga over the past 25 years I too have noticed how the mechanical fear-based approach to birth preparation leaves women feeling disconnected and powerless. Your book gives a woman invaluable insight into reconnecting and surrendering to the creative force which is her natural ability to birth her baby. I congratulate you... --Vedanta Nicholson, Prenatal Yoga Teacher
