The woman and mate she was meant to be!

When Shivon tries to stir unrest with the other human brides on the planet she is sent to the Warlord Torak to control her behavior or else be shipped home to Earth. She is a feisty woman who was once a member of the earth's military and has no intention of becoming a wife, content to care only for her children and the pleasure of her mates. The attraction between them happened instantly and Torak knew at once she was his fated mate. Shivon felt their attraction but would not cede control of her life to her mate easily. He knew if he was to win his mate he would have to change the way he expected to treat Shivon. I loved how he was prepared to accept her as a warrior as well as his mate, and used her training to benefit his people. Shivon was soon agreeable to their mating, providing he did not try to change her from the woman she was meant to be. I found their marriage to be a true partnership, each with a role to play. Their relationship was built on love and their acceptance of the people they were, not on society's role of women on their planet.

Fantastic Story.

Wow what a story I liked Shivon she’s pretty tough a feminist rebel who’s had a horrible past that’s why she is like she is and that doesn’t go down too well with Torak and what starts as annoyance ends up in passion. A masterful series even though you can read this book as a standalone it’s best to start at book 1 plus it’s more enjoyable to know what’s going on but it’s not absolutely necessary. I’ll tell you what though Torak has so much more patience with Shivon than I would of had even though I liked her sometimes she just went too far. Fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I have waited for Torak's story to a long time. It was worth the wait. We learn more about his tech. His past. We meet Shivon. A tough rebel leader. She has a horrible past. She resists Mating. But Torak never gives up. The Sarronti escalate their war. Very interesting ending!!! Bring on Overlord

I've loved going on the adventures with the characters and experiencing the ups and downs they go through to make to HEA! I am now going to read the next installment then go on to the next series that connects with all the ones that came before!

Nice addition to the series. I didn't care for Shivon at first. Her character seemed overly irritating in the beginning but improved as the story progressed. I liked that her independence was accepted and understood by her mate. Overall, it was a satisfying HEA!
