If you were to just try to get to the end as fast as possible it may not be that long. I instead tried to get every treasure and every mission. This is unbelievably hard. I became obsessed with this game and wanted to just rip the disk out and break it often. Some missions and treasures are such that you can miss them and have to replay the entire level again. At least for the timed ones you can start from the middle. So I think this game preys on my completest or obsessive nature and makes it too hard to actually do this. I feel kind of used and angry when I play this. You know how a tough bit can make you a bit annoyed and then when you finally beat it you feel relieved? Some of the missions are so frustrating the joy you feel from finally beating it is not really worth it. I feel like I need to start letting go and just ignoring extra things in games. It really was a fun but painful experience.
Anyway, graphically it's awesome looking. Captain Syrup has never looked better! Wish you could play as her instead of Wario. It has solid play control, music, and sfx. Level and enemy design is solid, just those missions are too much. If you want to try this, don't do the missions as you play through. Just beat the game straight through then if you want more go back and do some of the missions. Don't try to get everything! As others have said, it lacks a certain something that Nintendo-created games have though. It feels slightly off or slightly fake. I don't know why though.
