Product Description

Never Underestimate the Power of a Desperate Witch

With the Central Network entrenched in war and teetering on the brink of destruction, eighteen-year-old Bianca Monroe is determined to defeat Mabel’s powerful Almorran magic by finding the Book of Light.

During an attempt to save a burning orphanage, Bianca finds herself caught in a trap. Mabel kidnaps her, taking her to the hot sands of the Western Network where things are not as they seem. Mabel is more dangerous—and unhinged—than she’s ever been before.

War of the Networks is the fourth and final book in the thrilling fantasy collection The Network Series. It’s a gripping tale about compassion, forgiveness, and surviving against all odds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, Worthy Conclusion to an Inspiring, Wonderful Saga 27 May 2016

The Network Series began in Miss Mabel’s with a girl fighting to free herself from the clutches of a dark magic—fighting for her life. It ends with a young woman fighting to free the world from the dark magic, so that all may live.

Even as Bianca’s journey has grown over the course of the series from a very individual struggle to an epic one, it has always remained a personal story. We care about saving the Networks because Bianca cares about saving her father, Merrick, her circle of dear friends, Letum Wood.

It would be very easy for the author to paint the enemy that Bianca and those close to her fight against as pure, unmitigated evil—and the enemy certainly commits enough evil to deserve it—but Ms. Cross doesn’t take the easy way out here. This is a story about empathy, forgiveness and choosing to rise above darkness rather than be consumed by it, easily as much as it’s a story of good triumphing over evil.

War of the Networks is an enthralling finale, and readers could not ask for a more fitting conclusion to the series. And that closing scene! Beautiful!
5.0 out of 5 stars No Spoilers, but WOWWWWWW! 3 June 2016

Wowwwww! I have been HOOKED on The Network Series ever since Miss Mabel's School for Girls, and so I was so sad to learn that this was the last book in the series. I was also a little nervous, because whenever I am addicted to a series (whether it be books or a TV show) I USUALLY end up disappointed with the finale. I get attached and then I am not satisfied with my newfound BFF's being left in any sort of a situation other than how I'd imagine for them. So yes, basically impossible to please. Not this time!!! I do not want to ruin any endings, so I won't give details, but you are in for a TREAT! The War of the Networks left me completely satisfied, and NOT in a happy-endings-all-around way. Katie Cross has done it yet again, with compelling, developing characters, a fantastic story, and a completely made-up world of Antebellum, that despite all the chaos it is embroiled in, is a place I feel like I love and could totally live in.
....Now that it's over I am going to go binge-read them from start to finish.
5.0 out of 5 stars I thought it would be amusing to learn why some volunteer at the shelter had chosen the name for my sassy but sweet cat. Neadles 14 June 2016

I started reading these books because I adopted a cat (already) named Miss Mabel. I thought it would be amusing to learn why some volunteer at the shelter had chosen the name for my sassy but sweet cat. Neadless to say I was shocked to learn Miss Mabel's mother share the name Angelina with me. It's not a very common name, so I guess it was just fate.

Anyways, I wasn't sure if I was "too old" to be reading this book, but in my late 20's I definitely still connect with the heroine and think this book wrapped up the story very nicely. It will make you want to go back and re-read the other books, to see the clues she had laid down before. But I don't want to put any spoilers in here, so I'll leave it at that :)
