It wasn't written for pleasure, it was mainly for serious studies. Boy, was I happy to find authors who write books like these. Skyla wanted a family and children more than anything. Kryton wanted his son back. Originally Skyla's Bilarrian abilities made her Kryton's number one choice to kidnap as a war bride to get his son back. Finding out she is also genetically compatible and they can mate and have children is icing on the cake. He just has to convince her he loves her and needs her help to get his son back and then marry him in spite of the fact that 1) their people are enemies and have been at war over a hundred years and 2) he has played his kidnapper role very well. Piece of cake---- Right?

If you like strong males and females, you'll enjoy this story. It is about aliens and the use of magic. It is more about the love story than any fast paced adventure but their is a good story there. He needs her to help him rescue his son and intends to get her help in a round about way after kidnapping her. But he ends up with her as his mate. It is a very easy going read.

Great!. All the books in this series are excellent. The writing is fabulous this was a treat to see how war brides came about get insight to one of the mothers of the battle borns. Start with beginning if the series you start this book it stands alone but gives insight to the other books and characters they all worth it if love hot loving great males and feisty women with great character building and story development and even secondary characters are good. Action, drama, love, emotions, love, war, hate. Worth it !!
