Product Description

Falling in love with the twenty-two year old woman I'm supposed to be protecting was never part of the job description. But there are no words that can describe Lacey Addams Long and do her justice.

Curvy, sweet, vulnerable, sexier than a shiny, new Ferrari in a light rain...

And legally blind.

Her only hope to restore her sight is a surgery that could plunge her into total darkness. The window of opportunity for a successful operation is closing fast and there's only one thing that will break the deadlock of the last few months.

Me...in her bed, between her thighs, giving her something she's never had before while she still has a fraction of her vision left.

I'm not a gentleman. I'm a hired mercenary, a former soldier and I want what she's offering. But a woman like Lacey isn't looking for one night only no matter what she claims. And if I give in, if I surrender to her soft curves and gentle smile so that she has the surgery, it just might be me left alone in the dark.

Format: Kindle Edition
This book creates a lot of deep feelings in the reader, because the heroine is almost completely blind and is making a decision about whether to have surgery to repair her eyesight-when there is a risk that the surgery might also take what little sight she has away. The hero is her bodyguard, who tries very hard to stay focused on her protection, rather than focused on his attraction to her. I really enjoyed this, and really liked that it tied in to the Training her curves books and black gold books. The heroine is young and completely inexperienced, and the bodyguard is very tough and experienced, so he doesn't feel he is right for her. No spoilers, but it is worth the read.

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful! 6 March 2015

I've read Christas book before and I have always enjoyed them, but this one made the romance special and overwhelming. Wake is hired to keep Lacey safe, she's blind and comes from an abusive home. No matter how much he tries to avoid it he falls in love with her, given the fact she's young and innocent complicates matters even more. At the end love prevailed and came out on top.

5.0 out of 5 stars must read!!!! 28 January 2015

This is such an incredible sweet story!!!! Everything that author, Christa Wick, writes is so much fun to read, but in this case it just blew me away! The story was done from the male's POV and it was different to read but in a really good way! It was powerful, sweet, and but of course very hot!!!! This is a new favorite!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story 18 July 2016

I love that this is a continuation of a previous book but can also be read alone. Great story line and characters.
3.0 out of 5 stars A good hero, but an immature heroine. 25 April 2016
By Valerie Ullmer - Published on Amazon.com

While I enjoyed Wake's POV, I found Lacey to be immature at times, even for a twenty-two year old who has lived the life she has. I liked Wake, and the story was sweet, but I thought their relationship could've been strengthened by Lacey not pouting to get her way, or becoming emotional because of one rejection. Wake was a great hero, but Lacey was difficult to wholly like.
