What an astounding read. I picked this one up a while ago when It was a Kindle Daily Deal, I just didn't read it because other Books and life distracted me, I wish I would had read it sooner. LA Fiore has done it again with Waiting for the One. This story will truly draw you in from the moment you meet Saffron Mills and Logan MacGowan.
I think it was Saffron's personality that drew me in from the beginning. Her quirky behaviour made me laugh constantly. When Logan enters the little town bar she works at, and he doesn't speak, she sees it as a challenge to make him open up to her. From there, the games began. It became her mission to make an impact on Logan, little did she know, she was making a bigger one than she thought.
The story is written beautifully. LA Fiore's writing style is seamless and easy to read. Her characters are so well developed that you will feel like they are people you know. Logan had more money than he could imagine, yet, in the small town of Harrington, he kept quiet about who he really was. Finding solace among the quiet in the small town. However, secrets, no matter how big or small they maybe never stay hidden. Could the secrets Logan keeps ruin what has transitioned with Saffron. Can they still have a future when everything starts to fall apart around them.
Full of angst, passion, love, romance, suspense, sadness and joy, this story will bring home what it means to really find “The One”.
I have to say - I adored the way these two get together. LA Fiore has a way of creating stories so original and real, she did a great job with details. Letting us get to know the characters as well as the supporting characters.
I don’t want to give too much away here. But I will say – it was an awesome read. I absolutely loved it. It’s full of all the things I look for in a book.
A beautiful, heartwarming love story. Highly recommended read.

I have read L A Fiore before and have liked her books.
I enjoy small town settings and plots. The characters are usually honest, strong, lovable types who are easy to relate to.
Waiting For You, has some nicely written parts with tantalising scenes between the two MCs. It's also quite funny which is always a draw.
On the downside, I felt the plot wasn't always solid. At times, it seemed to go in circles and I was left thinking...what? Some parts were farfetched, even for a book of fiction. I also wondered who the target audience was because it read more like an angsty teenage love story, rather than a story depicting adults.
Safron was an 'out there' type of girl, but a little annoying because her character's actions could be frustrating. Logan was private, but came across as gutless, at times.
The conclusion wasn't a hit with me, so I was left somewhat disappointed. There was an HEA, though. The scenario was basicallygood, and it had so much potential, but it just didn't quite work. A good rainy day read...that's all.

What can I say?? I loved this book, plenty of angst and heart strings being tugged. A beautiful, touching love story.
More than once I had tears in my eyes...I could not put it down until I had finished it! That's the kind of book I love reading. It would be great if Logan's two brothers got their own stories too.

A most enjoyable story. Great, sometimes quirky characters in a sometimes quirky town i.e. the Swordfish festival and a nice dose of humour from the author.

Not quite sure what age group this is written for but I found it very childish and immature.

Logan & Saffron ♥♥♥♥
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 October 2016Verified Purchase
Waiting for the One was a fun read. Saffron’s character was easily relatable in her quest to find the one. Living in a small fishing community where men are few Saffron faced the worries any single woman thinks about in finding true love. I loved how she stayed true to herself and knew what kind of relationship she deserved. Logan was the silent mysterious hero who would observe Saffron from afar. The spark when they were close was electric and my heart ached in the hesitation Logan showed as he barely acknowledged Saffron. Every time Logan disappeared I craved to read his next scenes, he was aloof, sexy, sweet and passionate. Saffron was such a fun and witty character who showed so much love and compassion to others, and she was just what Logan needed in his life. Together they were a hot sweet couple and raised the temperature in the bedroom. Their road to happiness and holding onto one another wasn’t easy. Secrets were exposed and feelings of hurt followed. As with L.A Fiore’s books there was suspense shrouding this story and I got swept away in trying to unravel the twists and turns in this beautiful love story.

Brilliant, Beautiful and Laugh Out Loud Funny.

What a great way to start my year. This book made me laugh, cry and fall in love. What a beautiful read, in a way that wasn't cliche or tiresome. When you read as much as I do you get fed up of the same old stuff in romance books. Well this had it all. I want the same love that the two main characters found together. I want to live where they lived and I want to go to the Swordfish Festival to get myself a funnel cake.
So glad I downloaded this book. It's worth more than what I paid and I will probably read it again and then again after that. Already recommended it to everyone I know. Will definitely be reading everything this author has to offer. And it wasn't short, but didn't feel long either. Didn't want it to end. Got that bitter-sweet feeling that I get when I finish a good book - where I find out what happens but lament the fact it's over.
