I've read quite some books about blockchain and Bitcoin. All talk about the same basic high level concepts, nothing really special or deep. All copy more or less each other ideas and insights.

That was why I was pleasantly surprised about 'WTF is Bitcoin'. It explains the basic concepts but soon dives into the lesser-known aspects of Bitcoin (like transaction costs) in a very clear manner. Also, the history and background stories are entertaining and original. It's clear that Maxim Beatty is a long-time crypto enthusiast with real experience and knowledge. That knowledge and experience are condensed in this well-written and easy-to-read book. A real recommendation for newbies and Bitcoin enthusiasts.
