Product Description

Heck Tennel returns after 65 years to small Texas town he hasn't visited since he was 18 and had to flee the law, leaving behind a destitute family and the girl he loved. He's returning to retrieve a critical message left by his love's aunt.

When he returns, Heck reminisces with a boyhood friend, and remembers the day he left in May of 1934, details of Saturday night country musicals, butter and egg routes and the conflict between passion and lasting love he faced as he struggled to support his dysfunctional family and become a country music recording star. His mind also turns to Gloria, the proper girl he loved and her vicious aunt who filed criminal charges against him and was the reason he had to leave.

Is the message Heck has come for real or is it a trap to finally arrest him on those long-ago charges?
